Medical Examination Procedures for Study Abroad and Working Holiday in Canada

When you are preparing to study in Canada or apply for a visa, a medical examination is an important step. The Canadian government requires applicants for certain visa categories to complete a medical examination first, which usually includes a chest X-ray and a blood test, and must be completed at a designated clinic.

✅ Preparation required for physical examination
Passport valid for more than six months
ID card, health insurance card
Applicant's contact information in English (address, telephone number)
NT$4,100 (credit card or cash payment)
Those under 15 years old and without ID cards need to bring their household registration book or household transcript.
Those under 20 years old must be accompanied by a legal representative

Physical examination report time: generally takes 7 to 10 working days (excluding holidays) to complete and upload
Report query: You can query the medical examination results through IRCC's eMedical system
Re-examination: If the medical examination results show abnormalities, IRCC may request a re-examination or provide additional information
Medical examination certificate: After completing the medical examination, the hospital will provide a medical examination certificate, please keep it properly
