1. What is Co-op Study Abroad?

Co-op (Co-operative Education) is a "paid internship" learning model that combines academic courses with actual work experience, allowing students to accumulate industry experience during their studies and improve their employment competitiveness.

According to the time allocation model of study + co-op work,

In co-op programs, the ratio of study to internship can vary.

The following are common types:

📌 1+1 : 1 semester of classes + 1 semester of Co-op internship

Most popular, longer study time, more complete Co-op experience Common in business, technology, design, supply chain management, etc.

📌 6+6 : 6 months of classes + 6 months of co-op internship

Suitable for short-term study and accumulation of work experience

Commonly seen in business, digital marketing, hotel management, IT categories

Co-op internships must be related to the chosen major, and students must complete the required internship hours and a work report before they can graduate.

Common Co-op course structures include 6+6 and 1+1.

These models can be adjusted according to different schools and courses to suit students with different needs.

💡 Academic qualifications are not the only criterion, experience and connections are more important!

In North America, the key to finding a job is practical experience, not just academic qualifications.

The Co-op Program provides students with a unique opportunity to participate in a Co-op program.

Students are able to put what they learn into practice and build a strong network of contacts.

For students who want to be more competitive in the workplace or want to stay in North America for a long time in the future, Co-op has become a popular choice!

If you wish to work overseas for a longer period of time, the 2+3 program provides a post-graduation work visa for up to three years.

It allows you to accumulate more work experience in North America and have the opportunity to apply for immigration through CEC (Canadian Experience Class).
